Short CV

Georg Langs received a MSc degree in technical mathematics from Vienna University of Technology in 2003. During his studies he worked with the AURORA Group at the Institute for Applied Mathematics and Numerical Analysis at TU Wien in cooperation with the IBM BlueGene Project on approximative FFTs in the context of new parallel computing architectures and with the Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Group at TU Wien. Currently he is working on his PhD as a research assistant with the AAMIR project, a cooperation between ICG at Graz University of Technology, Vienna Medical University and PRIP at Vienna University of Technology. His research interests are model based medical image analysis, active appearance models, and autonomous model building.

Project

The AAMIR project - or Active Appearance Models in Quantitative Musculo Skeletal Radiology - deals with computer assisted diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis and other deseases affecting the musculo skeletal system. Find more information about the AAMIR project at www.aamir.at
