Wide-baseline Matching

Overview:

Here you can download a wide-baseline matching tool with graphical user interface. Wide-baseline matching is performed using MSER regions and SIFT descriptors and a registration technique described in (1). The tool supports 2-view matching as well as 3-view matching.

Description:

The matching tool is easy to use. First you have to load the images you want to match (only BMP images are supported). The matching is controlled using the context menu (right click on an image). Second you have to select a left and a right image using the context menu (and a center image for 3-view matching). Then you can start one of the matching methods with the context menu.

The following images show some matching examples. The test images can be downloaded below. For the 2-view examples the following settings were used:

-min. size: 100

-max.size : 50000

-threshold steps: 5

-SIFT-ratio: 0.9
